New Morning is excited to announce our support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s updated Quality Family Planning (QFP) Guidelines for 2024. These guidelines are a crucial resource for healthcare providers, ensuring that individuals and families receive the highest standard of care in family planning services.Â
The 2024 update includes several key enhancements:Â
Evidence-Based Practices Updates: The guidelines incorporate the latest research and evidence-based practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of family planning services. There is an emphasis on person-centered care, STI screening, and trauma-informed care. Â
Inclusive Care: Emphasis on providing inclusive care that respects the diverse needs of all individuals, including those from marginalized communities.Â
Expansion of the Scope of Services: The guidelines include new care delivery strategies including telehealth and over-the-counter oral contraception. There is increased emphasis on preventive health care services including mental health, perimenopausal care, gender-affirming care, and huma trafficking. Â
Â
Why These Guidelines MatterÂ
Quality family planning services are essential for promoting reproductive health and ensuring that individuals can make informed decisions. The CDC's QFP Guidelines provide a framework for delivering these services effectively and equitably.Â
