Celebrating the Release of CDC's Quality Family Planning Guidelines for 2024

New Morning is excited to announce our support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s updated Quality Family Planning (QFP) Guidelines for 2024. These guidelines are a crucial resource for healthcare providers, ensuring that individuals and families receive the highest standard of care in family planning services. 

What's New in the 2024 QFP Guidelines? 

The 2024 update includes several key enhancements: 

1. Evidence-Based Practices Updates: The guidelines incorporate the latest research and evidence-based practices to improve the quality and effectiveness of family planning services. There is an emphasis on person-centered care, STI screening, and trauma-informed care.  

2. Inclusive Care: Emphasis on providing inclusive care that respects the diverse needs of all individuals, including those from marginalized communities. 

3. Expansion of the Scope of Services: The guidelines include new care delivery strategies including telehealth and over-the-counter oral contraception. There is increased emphasis on preventive health care services including mental health, perimenopausal care, gender-affirming care, and huma trafficking.

Quality family planning services are essential for promoting reproductive health and ensuring that individuals can make informed decisions. The CDC's QFP Guidelines provide a framework for delivering these services effectively and equitably.
