Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Beverly Miller
Dr. Beverly Miller is originally from Chapel Hill, NC; now residing in Myrtle Beach, SC with her family. She has been a nurse since 1997. Her nursing background includes Army Nurse, Aesthetics, Dermatology, Geriatrics, ICU, Pediatrics, Psychiatric and Women’s care. Dr. Miller's nursing experience has allowed a variety of unique opportunities for personal and professional growth. Dr. Miller received her BSN from USC Upstate and earned her MSN and DNP from Walden University. She currently owns an operates Inclusive Healthcare Center and Socastee MedSpa, a private practice, providing aesthetics, house calls, IV vitamin therapy, primary care and urgent care services for her local community. Her belief is that learning needs are based on the individual. She takes pleasure in sharing her knowledge and nursing experiences.

Dee Ellen DiBona, MD, FACOG
Dr. DiBona received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and migrated to South Carolina to attend MUSC. After receiving her medical degree, she did her residency in Ob/Gyn at Greenville Hospital System. Prior to returning to Charleston, she was a partner in private practice in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Dr. DiBona has been a practicing physician at the College of Charleston since 2011 and is the current medical director of Student Health Services. During this time, she has established a comprehensive Women's Care program which provides routine well care to students including working with the New Morning Foundation to provide free contraceptive services to all students.
Outside of work Dr. Dibona enjoys gardening and spending time with her 1 ½ old grandson.
Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Jessica Tarleton
Dr. Jessica Tarleton is an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology and a complex family planning specialist. She completed her medical education, obstetrics and gynecology residency and Master of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Tarleton completed fellowships in Complex Family Planning and Reproductive Infectious Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh. Having grown up in Georgia, she was excited to return to the Southeastern United States to practice and advocate. Dr. Tarleton’s research and teaching interests include expanding access to reproductive health services, HIV and HIV prevention in women, and racial disparities in maternal health outcomes.

Dr. Judith Burgis
Dr. Burgis earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Columbia. She has over 35 years of practice experience in OB/GYN. In addition to medical student and resident education, Dr. Burgis’ special interests include contraception, pediatric and adolescent gynecology and gyn ultrasound.

Tricia Seal, MD FACOG
Tricia Seal, MD FACOG, went to medical school at Medical University of SC in Charleson, SC. She trained at University of Maryland for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been practicing in Columbia, SC since 2017. She is board certified in general Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Complex Family Planning. She has been awarded numerous teaching awards, including the AMWA Kay McFarland Women’s Health Award and the ACOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education. She has served as the SC Legislature’s South Carolina Doctor of the Day twice. She is the current Vice Chair of the SC Section of the American College of OBGYNs (ACOG), and will be the SC Section Chair in Fall 2024.
Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and serves as the Medical Director of a high-volume OBGYN office. She has served as a mentor for multiple medical student and resident research projects, as well as collaborating on projects with the USC School of Public Health and the Department of Infectious Diseases. Her areas of research interest include postpartum contraception access, female genital tract infections, and healthcare disparities. Her clinical interests include care of underserved populations, family planning access and provision, and medical education. She lives in Columbia with her husband and three children.

Julie Blackman received her BSN and RN degrees at East Carolina University in 1997. She has worked in women’s health and as certified CRA for clinical drug trials from 1997-2002. She worked in Labor and Delivery as an RN at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina from 2002-2007. In 2007, she received her MSN with a concentration in nurse-midwifery from East Carolina University. Additionally, she worked as an APRN in OB/OBYN at Wake Forest Baptist Health and currently serves at Affinity Health Center in Rock Hill, SC as an APRN in women’s health. She is a trained LARC Mentor through Essential Access Health and trains for Organon.

Melisa Hammett
Melisa Hammett received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Gardner-Webb University. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from South University. Her prior experience includes 4 years of Emergency Medicine as a Registered Nurse. She has worked at ReGenesis Healthcare of Gaffney, SC since 2018. She is fluent in Spanish and serves as the Director of Advanced Practice Practitioners. She previously served as the Medical Director of the Agricultural Farm Worker Program. She is passionate about Family Planning/Women’s Health, serves as an IUD trainer/mentor for South Carolina, a Nexplanon trainer for Organon, and was named a Contraception Champion by the South Carolina Primary Healthcare Association in 2021. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, animals, and family.
